KIT LAUNCH: City centre launch date confirmed

The countdown to the 2019/20 season has started with our brand-new home and away kits, manufactured by the club’s official kit partner – Errea – set to be rolled out at a special weekend event in Carlisle’s city centre on Saturday 22 June and Sunday 23 June.

Our new partners, based in Parma, Italy, act as designers, manufacturers and suppliers for a host of clubs in Europe and the UK, and they have confirmed that they are sending the Errea truck to Carlisle for the special event.

The fully liveried truck will be packed with replica home and away strips, in the full range of sizes, and will be situated in the city centre close to the Town Hall and the Crown and Mitre Hotel throughout the two-day launch.

The side doors will be opened at 10am on Saturday and 11am on Sunday, with supporters able to view and purchase the new kits ahead of the new season.

On Saturday 22 June, new signing Jack Iredale and Jarrad Branthwaite will be visiting the truck between 11.30am - 12.30pm.

New assistant manager Gav Skelton and midfielder Liam McCarron will be at the truck between 12pm - 1pm on Sunday 23 June, come along and meet the lads and get your autographs and selfies!

Director of football David Holdsworth said: “It’s an exciting few days for the club, and the fans, as we all look forward to the release of the fixtures on the Thursday [20 June] followed by the launch of the kit at the weekend.

“It’ll really start to feel like the new season is coming once we know who the first game will be against and when our fans have their new strips in their possession.

“We’d like to thank Errea for helping us to launch the kit in the city centre in a way we’ve never done before. It’s exciting for us to be doing this and hopefully as many of our supporters as possible will be able to pop along to see and purchase the new kits.”

Commercial manager Jenny Anderson said: “We think both the home and away kits will be well received as they are very nice and striking designs.

“Launching in the city centre is different and that’s something we’re looking forward to being a part of. The strips will be on sale from the moment we open the shutters on the truck on Saturday morning and we’ll be there throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday.”

Please note – as we prepare for the weekend launch event the Blues Store on Warwick Road will be closed on Wednesday 19 June, Thursday 20 June, Friday 21 June, Saturday 22 June and Sunday 23 June. The store will reopen at 11am on Monday 24 June.

Speaking when the new kit partnership was announced, Fabrizio Taddei, head of the Pro Clubs Department with Errea, said: “We are all delighted at Errea to have become kit partners with Carlisle United and to have added such a famous name to our growing stable of EFL clubs.

“We have enjoyed working with club officials to design a unique range of products which we know the Carlisle fans will be proud to wear.

“We hope, in future seasons, to involve the supporters in the design process of home and away shirts as we believe they should be involved in such important team items.

“We look forward to being part of the club for many seasons to come.”
