Carlisle United can confirm that Darren Edmondson has left his post as academy manager with immediate effect as the club looks to make a number of changes to its academy structure.
Former-Carlisle player Edmondson, 47, came through the youth ranks himself and went on to make over 250 appearances in a seven-year professional career with the Blues.
He returned to Brunton Park to take charge of the academy in the summer of 2016 and leaves with the very best wishes of everyone at the club.
Further announcements on changes to the academy set-up will be made in due course.
