Carlisle United Football Club can confirm that Hallam Hope will serve a one-match friendly fixture suspension following his sending off on Tuesday night.
The striker was given his marching orders by match referee Ed Duckworth following a 42nd minute incident with Kevin Roberts at the Swansway Chester Stadium, with the subsequent FA disciplinary sanction falling under the rules and regulations for friendly fixtures.
Hope, who scored against Hibs and Penrith in the previous two summer matches, will now miss Saturday’s game against Fleetwood Town before being available again for the Tuesday night visit of Tranmere Rovers.
Manager Steven Pressley said: “We’re obviously pleased that the suspension is only one game, and it’s a matter that will now be dealt with internally.”
