Carlisle United have today signed midfielder Nathan Thomas on a loan deal from Sheffield United which keeps him at Brunton Park until the end of the current season.
Thomas, 24, started his career with Sunderland as a youngster before joining Darlington for two short spells.
He made the move away from the Stadium of Light in 2013 when he joined Plymouth Argyle in the winter of 2013. He played 24 games for the Pilgrims before spending time with Motherwell and Mansfield Town.
The wide man then headed further north to sign for Hartlepool where he became a favourite with the locals with 14 goals in 56 appearances.
The Blades secured his services for an undisclosed fee in the summer of 2017 and he has since had loan stays with Shrewsbury and Notts County. The first half of this season was spent at Meadow Lane where he scored once in his 29 appearances.
This deal remains subject to the clearance of all necessary paperwork.
Thomas will wear squad number 16.
