United were back in league action with a trip to face Rochdale on Saturday morning.
It was nip and tuck in a game that was excellent to watch, with United taking the lead when Kerr pounced to rattle the back of the net.
The Dale bit back with two quick goals, to put themselves in the lead, but visiting heads didn't drop and the away side were rewarded for their efforts when Charlie Birch brought things back to level pegging.
Rochdale had the better of the first half, and Carlisle were on top in the second, and it was United who almost stole all three points right at the death only to be denied twice by the woodwork.
More details to follow.
