COMMERCIAL: Blues help to raise awareness of award winning alcohol-free beer

Long term club partners and sponsors HEINEKEN UK have teamed up with the Blues to enable fans to have more alcohol-free days with their award-winning Heineken 0.0 no-alcohol beer.

Manager Steven Pressley and first team squad members Adam Collin, Danny Grainger and Gary Liddle teamed up with HEINEKEN UK’s regional manager Martyn Vevers this week to raise awareness of the availability of this alcohol-free beer as a viable alternative to traditional beers and lagers.

“We’re delighted that Carlisle United have got behind our campaign,” Martyn said. “Obviously we want to raise brand awareness, but it’s about more than that as far as we’re concerned.

“We want people to know that there is a very nice tasting alternative to alcoholic drinks out there. We’ve done a lot of work on this at Heineken and we’re very pleased with the product and the positive reaction we’ve had to it.”

The launch of Heineken 0.0 was accompanied by a series of three ads called ‘Now You Can’, showing the moments in life that are perfect for an alcohol-free beer. The product was also voted as the best tasting alcohol-free beer on the market last year.

Heineken 0.0 was launched in 2017 and is the UK’s fastest-growing brand in the alcohol-free sector. It is brewed using only natural ingredients and contains just 69 calories.
