United chairman Andrew Jenkins had high praise for United’s fans this afternoon as he reflected on what had been a bumper crowd for the MK Dons home game at the weekend.
“It was fantastic to see the stadium full and to hear the support for the team,” he said. “It makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck when the players walk out to the kind of reception they got on Saturday.
“The response to the club campaign was magnificent from the supporters, and the only down side was that we couldn’t send them away with the result we all wanted.
“Hopefully they’ve seen enough of what the manager and his staff are trying to put together to make them want to come back and get behind the lads for what we hope will be a successful outcome to the season.
“I know the manager and players really appreciated the support and I also know they’re working hard to get back to winning ways and to maintain our league position.
“Thank you once again for making it such a good occasion.”
