Pupils from Newman School are the latest to benefit from our #8kforMK ticket donation scheme thanks to Carlisle-based company TC Scaffolding.
Dale Wilson, managing director with TC Scaffolding, popped along to Brunton Park to meet some of the youngsters and it was smiles all round as he handed over 50 tickets for the students to use at next weekend’s MK Dons home fixture.
Speaking about his support for the #8kforMK campaign, he said: “I’m a life-long United fan and I can still remember the buzz we had at the ground in the 90’s, when we were flying high, and we could get 10 or 11,000 fans through the gates week in and week out.
“Things have been much flatter in recent years, but the exciting January transfer window activity and the results we’ve all enjoyed have lifted spirits. The #8kforMK campaign has done its bit to help to get everyone pulling in the same direction, and I think it’s this type of thing that the club needs.
“I think we’re a sleeping giant and, given the right push, I believe we could achieve Championship football in just a few years. We all need to encourage the fans to come back down to Brunton Park and get cheering the lads on again.
“They deserve our backing as they’ve put such a good effort in up to now, and I feel they need the supporters to help to push them over the line and get us promoted.
“That’s why I was very happy to donate these tickets so that children from Newman School will get to come along to Brunton Park and see what all the fuss is about.”
If your business is interested in getting involved in our ticket donation scheme, please email katie.mitchell@carlisleunited.co.uk
You can buy any amount of tickets and donate them to a local community group or school of your choice, and we will try and come along to personally deliver the tickets with a first team player! All donations will be covered on our social media channels.
