CUOSC, in conjunction with Carlisle United, are holding a foodbank appeal before the home game against Grimsby on Saturday 14 December.
The collection gives United fans the chance to make a difference and previous collections, on behalf of Carlisle Foodbank, have always been well supported. We hope this one will receive a similar response.
The aim of Carlisle Foodbank is to provide three days of emergency food for people in the area who are in crisis.
Every donation of tinned or long-life food is valuable, but the Foodbank is always in need of UHT or powdered milk. Also toiletries, nappies, baby wipes and household cleaning products would be appreciated.
The collection point will be the CUOSC supporters’ surgery in the Study Centre, next to the club shop, between 1.30 and 2.45pm om the day of the game.
Fans can also drop items off at the Pioneer ticket office in the week leading up to the game, as well in the Study Centre between 6.30pm and 7.30pm ahead of the Forest Green Rovers FA Cup replay on Tuesday 10 December.
CUOSC are trying to develop the bond between the club and community and believe appeals like this help.
Remember every donation counts, no matter how big or small.
