United midfielder Jamie Devitt is up against Ryan Seager and Frank Nouble in the Sky Bet League Two Goal of the Month reckoning for March.
The first half thunderbolt from Devitt was a lesson in shooting technique as he swept a rolled pass from Callum O’Hare into the roof of the net – with a celebration cooked up with his son Mason to add into the mix.
Speaking about the goal, Jamie Devitt said: “It was a good run from Callum so I made sure I got into space when he started to cut back in towards the box.
“He rolled it in front of me and it was on for the shot, so I went for it. It was nice to see it go in.
“Before the game I’d been talking about goals with my son Mason and it was him who said I had to do the Fortnite dance. It probably didn’t look the best but that was for him.”

Also in contention are:
Ryan Seager – YEOVIL TOWN v Morecambe – 2 March
Desperate for a win, Seager took matters into his own hands, turning on a clipped pass and unleashing a shot whose combination of power, precision and trajectory made it unsaveable.
Frank Nouble – COLCHESTER UNITED v Newport County – 9 March
Mesmerising footwork sent Newport’s Dan Butler this way and that before Nouble jinked past his man and cleverly arched his looping shot up, over and in from the tightest of angles.
