Midfielders Jamie Devitt and Mike Jones were at St Bede's Roman Catholic Primary School on Friday to meet some of the children who came to Brunton Park to watch the Morecambe game as part of our Cumberland Community Ticket Scheme.
The lads met children from years two, three, four, five and six across the afternoon and were asked a range of interesting questions, including which team they would most like to play for, as well as how many goals they'd scored and how important it is to eat a healthy, balanced diet.
Jamie Devitt said: "We have to say thank you to Demileigh and Nathan who are the school councillors at St Bede's.
"They gave us a tour of the school and made sure we were in the right class at the right time.
"We hope the children enjoyed meeting us and also enjoyed their trip to Brunton Park on Saturday, despite the result."
Mike Jones said: "I really enjoy these visits. The children ask some excellent questions, but they weren't too impressed when I said I was an Everton fan! I think that took Jamie a little bit by surprise as well.
"I'd like to thank the children and teachers for having us along. It was really enjoyable."
Thank you to the staff at St Bede's for inviting us and we hope you all enjoyed your afternoon on Saturday.
