A week of half term soccer school was rounded off in style for our Harraby 3G youngsters when they received a surprise visit from striker Richie Bennett and defender Tom Parkes on Friday afternoon.
Richie and Tom popped along to hand out the certificates and medals, and they also posed for selfies and signed everything from boots to shirts and lunch boxes for the boys and girls who attended this week's Carlisle course.
Centre back Tom Parkes said: "You could tell the children had enjoyed their week by all the smiles we saw.
"It was nice to be able to hand out a few medals to the competition winners and we got to meet everyone afterwards - even though it always comes as a surprise when you see some of the things they ask you to autograph!"
Striker Richie Bennett said: "We enjoy these appearances because you can tell how much the children all love their football.
"A few of them commented on my spell as a centre back, which was quite funny, and they all wanted to talk about how we think we'll do this season.
"I'd like to say thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome at their soccer school."
