United returned to league action this morning with a home game at Creighton against Blackpool.
And they had the points wrapped up by half time as Keighran Kerr, Josh Galloway and Taylor Charters bagged early goals to put the young Blues in a dominant position.
The Tangerines bit back after the break, but it was job done as a good performance was capped off by a solid second 45 minutes.
Youth boss Darren Edmondson said: "This was a really good performance. The lads passed the ball well and they got the goals as a reward for their endeavours.
"It was pleasing to see and they'll take a lot of confidence from how they approached this game."
United: Ward, Steele (Armstrong 75), Brockbank (Leslie 80), Casson, Wilson, Lightfoot, Galloway (Kelly 75), Branthwaite (Swailes 83), Kerr, Charters, Papa (Soper 65).
