United manager John Sheridan recently invited fans who signed up to the club’s new email database to a Forum to be held in the Sunset Suite here at Brunton Park on Monday 23 July [event starts at 7pm].
And we are delighted to confirm that this event is now at full capacity.
150 fans will meet the new manager and his staff, and get to ask their questions, just two weeks before the season kicks off at what is set to be a very enjoyable evening.
Names of attendees will be ticked off at point of entry on the night and donations will be taken for the official EFL charity, Mind, and for Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice.
United boss John Sheridan said: “I’m looking forward to meeting everybody on the night. It’ll be a good chance for our fans to ask their questions and for us to outline what it is we want to do this season.
“Events like this are always enjoyable and, with the season being so close, there’ll be plenty to talk about. I’m obviously delighted to hear that every space has been taken because that tells me the fans are ready to get behind us. I’m looking forward to it.”
Meanwhile he also confirmed that rumours linking Jamie Devitt with Swindon Town, which emerged in the Swindon press this morning, are to be taken with a pinch of salt.
"There's absolutely nothing in that at all," the manager insisted. "Jamie is our player, he's under contract, we've had no contact from anyone, and he's very much part of our plans going forward."
We’ll be covering the evening with the manager on our social media channels as normal.
