Midfielder Jordan Holt has today returned to Workington AFC on a half-season loan deal which will keep him with the Borough Park outfit until the end of the current campaign.

Holt, 18, initially joined the West Cumbrian side at the end of August and received nothing but praise for his committed performances through what developed into a successful three-month stay.

He was part of the team which embarked on an amazing 17-game unbeaten run in all competitions ahead of the turn of the year.

Manager Keith Curle said: “Workington have already looked after Jordan really well this season and he’s been involved in a team that knows how to win games.

“He’s getting pitch time at a very competitive level and he is very highly thought of, so this is a move that has been of benefit to all parties.

“We’ll continue to monitor him closely but we know that he will continue to develop as he gets more first team match time under his belt.”

The young playmaker came through the United ranks to earn a one-year professional development contract in May this year having made his first team debut in the Checkatrade Trophy group game against Fleetwood Town last season.
