Following the refurbishment of the Sunset Suite at Brunton Park in the summer, discussions have been taking place with Supporters' Groups on how best to finalise the decoration, using club specific memorabilia.
The walls of the adjoining ‘1904 Lounge’ will cover the early years of the Blues' history, including the formation of Carlisle United and the move to Brunton Park.
The Sunset Suite is to be adorned with a timeline of the key moments picking up from the post-war era of Bill Shankly through to the present time.
Chair of the Supporters' Groups, Simon Clarkson, explained the key role that fans can play in donating the material.
“We want the bar to reflect the key moments in our history, so whether it be photos, press cuttings, shirts or programmes, we want fans to let us know if there are any items that they can donate to help us achieve this aim," he said. "We will work with a local sponsor to frame the material in an appropriate style, so any fans willing to donate material need not incur any cost.
"The CUOSC match day surgeries will provide an option to discuss donations, with fans encouraged to bring in photos of potential material rather than originals. They can also get in touch by sending an email to cusg@cusclb.com."
Chief executive Nigel Clibbens said: “This is a great way for the club and CUSG to work together to improve facilities for the fans.
“The supporters can directly play a part in creating an area that gives them the type of look and feel they want to see.”
The next Supporters' Surgery is on Saturday 3 March from 1.30pm - 2.30pm in the Study Centre at Brunton Park.
