Midfielder Jamie Devitt is one of four players to be nominated for the Sky Bet League Two November Player of the Month award following a haul of four goals and some impressive displays.
Speaking about the nomination, he said: "It's nice to be nominated but it's as much about what we do as a team as it is about any individual.
"We had a great start to the month and that's credit to the lads. The goals any of us score come from the hard work everybody does, and hopefully there'll be more of it from all of us because we want to get back up towards the top seven as we go through this important period.
"There are some very good players who have been nominated, so it's nice to be involved. Jay O'Shea was actually best man at my wedding, so we've already had a bit of banter about it.
"Like I say, it is good, but I'd swap the nomination for picking up wins and points through the festive period because, as we've said all season, we want this club to be at the right end of the table and looking for the play-offs at the very least."
The full list of nominees is ...
Jamie Devitt (Carlisle United) - midfielder
Brought in from the wing for the first time in his career, Devitt has adapted superbly, pulling Carlisle’s attacking strings. Always dangerous from free-kicks, he is now in position to shoot more, as four November goals prove.
Dean Lewington (MK Dons) - wing-back
Pushed aside last season, the Dons icon is rejuvenated this campaign, returning fit, fresh and hungry to pre-season. Played his part in three clean sheets and, in a new wing-back position, strode forward to claim two assists in the month.
Jay O’Shea (Bury) - midfielder
A month to savour for O’Shea with four goals and two assists as Bury scored for fun in November. Used the spaces created by the likes of Danny Mayor to shoot at will. With two free-kicks, three of his goals came from outside the area.
Sammie Szmodics (Colchester United) - midfielder
Scored each of Colchester’s three goals, which translated into seven points. In the absence of the injured Luke Norris, he has assumed more responsibility, driving the team forward and notching a technically perfect strike against Exeter.
Winner to be announced on Friday 7 December.
