It's been a busy few days for the under-18 lads, along with some players from Carlisle United Park View, since they flew off to stay at the Globall Hotel near Budapest as part of the 'Away goals count double: score yours through EU Mobility!' project.

As part of the Erasmus+ programme in Telki - managed by Ecorys UK as part of the UK National Agency - the club was awarded funding to take part in the trip which will see them play three games against local sides, as well as what is expected to be a keenly fought encounter against Bristol Rovers.

Gym and training sessions have been intense, and the lads played the first of their scheduled games on Saturday, winning by a comfortable score line.

And they even had time to celebrate Ceiran Casson's birthday on Friday - he turned 17 - with thanks to the Globall Hotel staff for making him a cake especially for the occasion.

Saturday evening included a trip to watch Honved Budapest play Mol Vidi at the Bozsik Stadion ... but it was bad news for the hosts as they fell to their first defeat of the season when they found themselves on the wrong end of a 0-3 result.

We'll have more from the trip as the lads go through next week.
