The Young Blues turned on a fine performance at Brunton Park on Saturday morning as they beat Fleetwood 2-1.
Recent performance levels had suggested that a positive result was coming and goals from Max Cowburn and Belchior Papa saw United through as they played some good stuff.
Youth boss Darren edmondson said: "This was a good all-round display and the lads come away feeling pleased.
"They've been looking for goals recently but they've kept their heads up and they got their reward for that today."
