United boss Keith Curle spoke to us about tonight’s trip to the Ricoh to face Coventry City.
“This will be a very good challenge for us and a good test,” he said. “We need a reaction to what happened on Saturday because we didn’t get any kind of a performance at Accrington.
“We need to deal with what happened there and we need to be better. As a minimum we need to make sure we perform.”
“This is an opportunity for us all to put things right,” he continued. “There are times in every season where things don’t go your way and that’s when you need people to stay on the bus and keep doing their jobs.
“There are obvious things we need to work on and we need everybody to be playing their part, in good times and bad. We go to Coventry looking to play our game against a very good team.
“So far this season the problems we caused ourselves have been exactly that, caused by ourselves. Individuals are taking responsibility for that and I know there’s a determination to hit the levels we demand of everyone at this football club.
“What we don’t do is shy away from a bad display. We learn from it and we make sure we stand up to the challenge of taking it on the chin and putting it right.
“Coventry are a good side who will be looking to put right what went wrong for them last season. We know we’ll have to earn anything we get, but I know these players want to do that so that we can push on and get back to where we all want this club to be.”
