Our new U9 academy players signed their affiliation forms at the recent home game against Mansfield Town.
The players were invited to the home game last weekend and were delighted to be able to put pen-to-paper at the side of the pitch ahead of kick off.
Professional Phase Lead Coach Mark Birch said: "Coming along to Brunton Park gave the boys a sense of belonging to the club and it also gave them the chance to see and experience a first team match. This is something that they can hopefully aspire to become.
"The parents and families were able to join in with the celebrations and proudly watch their child sign the FA Academy forms and it was a nice moment for them all."
"This is the first time that this has been done for the U9’s and hopefully it can be repeated each year," he added. "This is a perfect way to welcome them to the CUFC family.
"Robbie Edgar, who is our U9 coach, was also present so it was a great way to set the lads up for the season ahead."
