Carlisle United can confirm that former-Port Vale goalkeeper coach Dan Watson has joined the club today as our first team keeper coach.
Watson, 39, started his career at Derby County before making a return to his native Midlands to join Wolverhampton Wanderers. A move to Luton followed where his career took a stumble following a cruciate ligament injury.
His rehabilitation took longer than anticipated, so he accepted a move to join Kidderminster Harriers where his playing career came to a close.
He took coaching positions with a number of non-league clubs before joining Port Vale as their under-23 Development Squad lead keeper coach in 2014.
His three-year stay with the Valiants included a spell as their first team goalkeeper coach under former-manager Michael Brown.
