The EFL is looking to appoint a Non-Executive Director to its board, to succeed Richard Bowker whose term expires in June 2018.
Mr Bowker, who was recently appointed as the chairman of UK Athletics, has served the maximum two terms and will step down as a representative on the EFL board after six years.
The EFL board comprises of three directors from the Sky Bet Championship, two directors from Sky Bet League One and one director from Sky Bet League Two, each elected by the 24 clubs in their respective divisions. The remaining directors are the independent non-executive chairman, EFL chief executive officer and two independent non-executive directors.
The successful candidate will be required to spend a minimum of 24 days per annum on work for the EFL, including board meetings, the AGM (which includes the Owners’ and Executives’ Conference held over the two proceeding days) an annual board away day and at least three all club meetings per year.
This commitment will increase where the successful candidate is appointed to sub-committees of the board and/or the EFL is undergoing a period of particular increased activity.
