Head of Coach Development position
Carlisle United Football Club are looking to appoint a Full Time Head of Coach Development to manage the role of developing their Academy Coaches in line with their coaching philosophy. This new role is fundamental to the long-term vision of developing home-grown players for Carlisle United.The successful candidate will be –
+ Responsible for the coaches Individual Development Plans which are integrated with the Academy Coach Competency Framework
+ Provide regular feedback to coaches to aid their development
+ Responsible for the CPD programme for the coaches and ensure they have the relevant qualifications for their role
+ Play an integral part in the development of the Coaching and Playing Philosophy and will be expected to develop close working relationships with the Academy Manager for this purpose
+ Ensure the Academy Coaching Programme is being followed and reflects the needs of the players in each phase
Internally they will need to –
+ Develop effective working relationships with the Academy coaches and Academy Manager
+ Develop relationships with parents and players and ensure they are very approachable
Externally, their relationship with FA and EFL staff will be important to ensure their role within the Academy continues to evolve. They will be expected to continually research developments in coaching methods.
In conjunction with the Academy Manager they will be responsible for the recruitment of new coaches into the Academy. They will work and aid coaches with their individual pathway based on their qualifications, skills and experiences.
Essential qualifications and experience –
+ UEFA A Licence
+ FA Advanced Youth Award
+ Coaching/Mentoring Qualification together with experience of mentoring and developing coaches
+ Experience of working within Academy Football for 10 years
+ FA Safeguarding qualification
+ Enhanced DBS clearance
+ FA First Aid qualification
+ A comprehensive understanding of the EPPP
+ Valid driving licence
