Midfielder Cameron Salkeld has today extended his loan spell with Whitby Town for a second month.
Salkeld, 19, is a product of the club’s youth system who signed a development contract at Brunton Park, having completed his scholarship, in May this year.
Manager Keith Curle said: “We've heard good things about what Cameron has been doing with Whitby so far and the important thing from his point of view is that he's getting looked after.
"He's at a stage of his development where he needs game time at a competitive club. Whitby are providing that for him and this is another move that is proving to be a real benefit to all parties."
Salkeld was called up to the Carlisle first team squad whilst still a second-year youth team player and made his debut for the club in the Checkatrade Trophy home game against Blackburn Rovers in October 2016.
He scored his first senior goal against Fleetwood in the same competition, one month later, as he broke into the box from the right flank and smashed the ball home.
