United's under-18 side kicked their new season off with a solid away draw at Wrexham on Friday afternoon courtesy of a very good performance.
The sides slugged out a very even first 45 minutes but it was the hosts who took the lead when they finished off a very good move.
Carlisle controlled much of the second half with some very good passing and movement every time they took possession of the ball.
Their efforts were rewarded with just four minutes left to play when defender Aidan Hutchinson popped up to bag the equaliser and to claim a share of the spoils.
Youth boss Darren Edmondson said: "We dominated the second half but we just couldn't get the goal early enough.
"Wrexham are a well organised and stubborn side but the lads stuck at it and you could see they were pleased when Aidan got his goal.
"A point from an away game is a good start and hopefully the lads will continue to learn lessons and build on what they've done going forward from here."
Next up for United is a home game against Port Vale on Saturday 12 August, kick off 11am.
