Result from the Saturday morning youth game
United played some excellent football but were undone by two moments of quality from the home side which, in the end, proved to be the difference. The hosts took the lead in the first half just seconds after Adewusi had missed by a whisker for the visitors with a blistering shot.
The Blues pushed forward after the break and were unlucky when a header from Hutchinson flew just over the bar. More good saves followed from the home stopper and under-16 forward Josh Dixon got himself on the score sheet with a well taken finish.
In the end two good goals, and an unfortunate Blues' own goal, handed Fleetwood their victory.
Youth boss Darren edmondson said: "I come away pleased with the group because they played well.
"Their striker has been handed a professional contract, and he showed why with the two goals he scored, but other than that we had some excellent passages of play and we worked hard as a team."
