Everything you need to know ahead of the weekend fixture
August was unbeaten for Carlisle United and they head into Saturday’s home meeting with Accrington Stanley in confident mood having played some of the best football we’ve seen for years - both at home and on their travels.
Manager Keith Curle said: “We need 6,000 fans at Brunton Park on Saturday. We’re creating a little wave – who knows what that wave can turn into? We’re building momentum and we have a group of players who want to win football matches, and win them well.
“Unity is everything in this business and we want our fans behind us to spur us on. We want Brunton Park to be rocking. We'll entertain them, we'll play football and show effort, commitment and desire. We'll try and play the game how I know the Carlisle fans want to see us play football.
“Our supporters have really bought in to the way we’re doing things this season. They’ve enjoyed it when we’ve dominated possession and they’ve raised the noise levels when we’ve needed an extra lift. That is very much appreciated by everyone.
“Away from home support like that can help the players to find the extra tackle or that bit of added energy. At home it can create an imposing atmosphere and make our stadium a very difficult place to come. I like that.”

Family Zone a huge success
EFL title sponsors Sky Bet helped us to restore our Family Zone to its former glory recently and it is proving to be extremely popular with our younger fans on a match day.
The Zone opens as soon as the turnstiles open at 1.30pm and closes just before full time, with fully qualified staff on hand to help throughout.
Entry to the Family Zone is for Pioneer Foods Stand ticket holders only. Supporters with youngsters who want to go into the Family Zone can switch locations at a cost of 50p (seated area to seated area) or £3 (terraced area to seated area) per ticket.
But remember, Family Zone ticket prices are £2 cheaper across the board – call 0844 371 1921 for more details! Adults and seniors MUST be accompanied by a child or junior to qualify for the discount.

Both Matthew and Fibi have told us that Jabo Ibehre is their favourite player. Matthew says his favourite United memory is watching us beat Plymouth and, for Fibi, it was last season’s trip to Anfield.
