Arron Bradbury on the victory over Tranmere
Journalism student Mark Donnelly spoke to Arron Bradbury after the victory over Tranmere on Saturday morning.Commenting on the result, Bradbury said: “I’m really happy with that. It’s good to get three points and good to get the win.
“We’ve had a few players out on loan so we didn’t have our strongest team out, but we still put in a good performance.”
This was the Cumbrians’ second victory over Tranmere on home soil this season, and the winger admitted it was nice to get three points against their Merseyside rivals.
“It was good to get another win against Tranmere,” he said. “The last one was in the FA Youth Cup so it was good to follow that up and win again.”
Bradbury bagged two goals in as many second half minutes to secure the three points, although he confessed he didn’t think his second effort would find the back of the net: “You’ve got to be happy with two goals in two minutes!
“I didn’t think the second one was going in. I thought someone would touch it but thankfully it just went in.”
Victory saw Carlisle register back-to-back victories, and Bradbury is hoping to see this form continue: “It’s good to get back-to-back wins now. We just want to push on until the end of the season.”
