Rod Stewart Hits 2016 concert information

It’s all systems go for the Rod Stewart ‘Hits 2016’ Tour concert at Brunton Park on Tuesday 21 June and we have some important information for those of you coming to the event, and for local residents, as we continue to gear up for the big day.

Please be aware that preparations begin in earnest on Thursday 16 June and there will be increased activity around the stadium and its access roads as the stage, hospitality, catering and viewing areas are constructed [stadium post-concert clear up will be completed by 23/24 June].

Tickets

+ Tickets are still available online via www.ticketline.co.uk or via the Tour Box Office on the day, priced at £55, £75 and £95. To book now, or for more information, please email commercial@carlisleunited.co.uk or call 01228 554 155

+ Tickets will be on sale on the day of the concert at the Tour Box Office, which will be situated in the Carlisle United Blues Store here on Warwick Road. Fans are advised to purchase in advance wherever possible.

+ Collections for pre-purchased concert tickets will be at the Tour Box Office situated in the Carlisle United Blues Store. A large volume of people will be attending the concert and fans are advised to collect their tickets as early as possible to avoid queues and delays in the lead up to the event.

Stadium Access

+ Signage will be in place on Warwick Road and around the site to help with directions.

+ There will be two points of entry to the stadium for this concert:

Gate A – entrance off Warwick Road immediately adjacent to the Blues Store. Access via this entry point for the Main Stand (West Stand), Foxy’s Restaurant, Sunset Suite, Sporting Inn, Legends Lounge, Paddock standing, pitch seats and disabled access. 

Gate B – entrance at the traffic lights opposite Foreways to the Pioneer Foodservice Stand (East Stand) side of the stadium. Access via this entry point for seats in the Pioneer Foodservice Stand and pitch seats. 

+ Access to the site on the day is at 4.30pm for VIP/ Hospitality packages and at 5.30pm for general admission.

+ Any guests with VIP/Hospitality packages MUST bring their lanyard passes with them as well as their concert tickets.

+ Bag checks will be conducted on entry to the site. Prohibited items are as follows:

+ No food or drink (alcoholic or otherwise).
+ No umbrellas.
+ No professional cameras with detachable lenses.

+ Bins will be provided in the queuing lanes for disposal of prohibited items. Umbrellas and personal items can be left at a drop-off point, at your own risk, for collection after the concert. Carlisle United or concert promoters will not take possession of items and hold no responsibility for the return of items.

+ Please be aware that there are still post-flooding works ongoing at Brunton Park and, as a result, there will be a number of temporary office/work units on site.

Catering

+ VIP hospitality packages – admission to the stadium is from 4.30pm. 

+ The Catering Village, situated in the West Stand main car park, will consist of a marquee, bar areas, food and drink outlets and restrooms, and will be in use for those fans who have accessed the stadium via Gate A. 

+ All Pioneer Foodservice Stand concourse catering facilities will be open throughout this event for guests with Pioneer Foodservice Stand tickets.

+ Bar, catering and restroom units will be available on the pitch area throughout the concert for those with pitch tickets.

+ ‘Challenge 25’ will be in operation in all areas – please bring ID for proof of age when purchasing alcoholic beverages.

+ Fans in the Paddock standing and pitch seated areas will be given a wristband should they wish to leave to make use of the Catering Village. Possession of the wristband MUST be retained to regain entry to the stadium area. 

Parking

+ Parking is NOT available on site for this event.

+ Fans with hospitality packages must pre-book parking. Email commercial@carlisleunited.co.uk or call 01228 554 155 as soon as possible to finalise your hospitality parking details.

+ A Park and Ride service will be in operation from the H&H Rosehill car park (CA1 2RW) from 5.45pm. A regular shuttle bus service will take fans from the car park to the entry points at Brunton Park. Cost of the shuttle service will be £2 per person.

+ Please note – the Park and Ride service is for delivery to the event only. It will not be in operation following the concert due to a post-event road closure. Fans parked at Rosehill must make their own way back to their vehicles. The H&H car park is a 10 to 15 minute walk from Brunton Park.

+ Disabled parking is not available on site for this event. Please contact commercial@carlisleunited.co.uk for more information.

Road Closure

+ There will be a mandatory road closure on Warwick Road (from Victoria Road to St Aidan’s Church) from 10.30pm to 11.30pm following the show to assist with the safe and smooth dispersal of the fans from the stadium area. Please be aware that pick-ups from the stadium will not be permitted during this period (taxis and mini-buses included).

+ Vehicles parked within the road closure area will not be permitted to move until after the road has reopened.

Fireworks and Pyrotechnics

+ The show is due to end at approximately 11pm and will close with a firework and pyrotechnic display which will last approximately ten minutes. 

Lost child procedure 

+ Please advise your child to speak to a steward or member of staff who will ensure they are taken to the Pioneer Foodservice Stand Family Zone should they become separated from their party at any time during the event. 

+ Stewards will be briefed to guide families and/or lost children to the Family Zone when approached as part of our ‘lost child’ procedure.
