Mental health team takes part in tournament
The Carlisle United Community Sports Trust took our Mental Health team across to Middlesbrough last week to take part in the MTSA Mental Health football competition.Hosted by Middlesbrough FC Foundation, in association with the Teesside Philanthropic Foundation, 20 teams competed for the right to be named champions.
Carlisle United entered two teams, with the A team qualifying for the later stages after winning two out of their four group games.
Our B team qualified to compete for the plate, which was a very good showing.
Community Sports Trust Manager John Halpin said: "Both our teams equipped themselves very well and we were very pleased with their application.
"We had an excellent day and we'd like to say thank you to Middlesbrough FC for hosting the competition."
