First ever Business Club fixture's breakfast held
The Carlisle United Business Club held their first ever Fixture's Breakfast at the Halston Aparthotel this morning with local and national businesses represented.Members of the Business Club received an exclusive first look at the fixtures before hearing the thoughts of a panel of Club directors and coaching staff about their plans on and off the field for the coming season.
Once the fixtures were revealed the panel, which included manager Keith Curle, alongside Club directors Nigel Clibbens, Suzanne Kidd and Phil King, gave their immediate reaction to the fixture list ahead of the 2016/17 season.
Manager Keith Curle said: "Expectations have been set down early. We'll start and end the season with long trips but we have to play all of the teams at some point.
"There are no teams in the league to be scared of and we'll back ourselves to be better than we were last season as we continue with our aim of continued progression."
Chief Executive Nigel Clibbens said: "We are all working hard to be the best we can on and off the field, to do the things that will enhance our prospects of success. Working together with the business community is an important part of our plans."
Sales and Marketing Director Phil King said: "Our first Fixture's Breakfast has been a real success and we'd like to thank everyone who attended. We hope this type of event is something which will encourage even more businesses to join us as we look to build on last season."
Business Club membership starts from £1,000 plus VAT per season and includes ten meetings with business and sport speakers.
