0 to 8 mins - Some good football played by both sides as they settled into their rhythm.
9 mins - Morais nicked the ball off Adams out wide and he curled a beauty of a cross into the box. Hanson was up to meet it but his bullet of a header whistled just past the post.
10 mins - Grainger and Adams worked space on the left and a low cross from the latter had Wyke interested until Nathan Clarke guided it to safety.
14 mins - Grainger caused problems with two well taken set pieces but the big home defence did enough to keep the danger at bay.
16 mins - Another Grainger set piece from a tight angle whipped across the face of goal but Doyle felt comfortable enough to allow it to pass by untouched.
23 mins - Lambe pulled wide and created space for a cross. Devitt timed his run to meet it but his glanced header looped over the bar.
24 mins - A ball over the top took Morais one-on-one with Gillespie but the keeper did everything right as he spread himself to make a fantastic block.
26 mins - Persistence from Lambe gave Carlisle room to work and Devitt didn't disappoint with a measured cross into the box. Adams arrived late and he was unlucky to see his downward header skip off the surface and whisk just wide.
33 mins - A 28-yard Grainger free kick dipped late but went over the bar.
35 mins - Knight-Percival nodded a deep Morais cross back into the mix but Dieng was off balance and his attempt at a volley bobbled way past the target.
36 to 45 mins - United played some excellent passing football and looked far the happier as they went into the half time break.
Half time: Bradford 0 - 0 United
46 mins - Carlisle started the half with a fantastic move when Wyke controlled a ball forward with his heel to release Devitt. His through ball found Lambe and he dropped a shoulder to beat his man and make space. He went for the shot but he couldn't keep it down.
49 mins - Grainger forced Doyle to make a save when he rattled a 19-yard free kick at the top corner from a tight angle. The keeper pushed it into the air and the defence rallied to hook it clear.
52 mins - United were caught out when Marshall crept forward to deliver a telling cross. Filipe Morais left Gillespie with no chance as he drilled it first time into the bottom corner. Bradford 1 - 0 United
57 mins - 16-year-old first year scholar Kieron Olsen came off the bench to make his first team debut.
64 mins - Goal scorer Morais turned provider when he found space on the right. His cross was perfect for Hanson and the big striker did everything right as he guided his header into the bottom corner. Bradford 2 - 0 United
76 mins - Ellis got up to meet a back post corner but it hit the defender on the shoulder and the keeper was able to gather.
79 mins - Back-to-back Carlisle corners were dealt with as the away side went in search of a goal.
85 mins - Devitt crossed twice but a packed penalty box made it difficult for Ellis, Brough and Shaun Miller to get a telling touch.
