Keith Curle on Cardiff forward Rhys Healey
Cardiff boss Neil Warnock revealed in his press conference last Friday that Carlisle United had shown interest in Manchester-born forward Rhys Healey as thoughts turn to the January transfer window for clubs at all levels.Healey, 22, is currently on-loan at Newport County where five goals in 13 appearances have caught the eye of a number of scouts and clubs.
Speaking after Saturday’s game at Luton, Curle said: “Part of our due diligence is to make enquiries about players we think can add to the group.
"We’re respectful of the fact he’s a Newport player at the moment so this is just all part of the processes and procedures we go through.
“It wasn’t an official approach in any way. I know Neil very well and it was just a case of asking about the availability of his player.”
