Jigsaw Hospice and Carlisle Hospital visits
The players and staff went out to see the children at Jigsaw Hospice and Carlisle Hospital today - thank you to CFM and their Cash For Kids 'Mission Christmas' appeal which allowed us to take some fantastic presents and helped put smiles on a lot of little faces.Manager Keith Curle said: "We tried to break the visits up into smaller numbers of staff and players so it's makes it more personal. I've done it before at other football clubs when the whole squad has gone and I think it can be a bit overpowering and overwhelming.
"I thought the way we did it today was perfect. We took four players to Jigsaw and five or six of us went along to the hospital. It does make it more personal and less intrusive for the parents and the children.
"It gives us all an opportunity to say hello to everyone and let them know we're thinking of them as a football club."
