Update on the second year scholars
Carlisle United Football Club confirmed today that academy coaches Alan Moore and Vince Overson have left the club as the 2015/16 season draws to a close.
It was also confirmed that eight second years have been released as their two-year scholarship comes to an end. Meanwhile one second year scholar has been invited to stay with the club for further assessment.
Finance director Suzanne Kidd said: “There was a meeting with the first team manager, the academy coaching staff and the second year group last week and one player has been retained to be given an opportunity for further integration into the first team environment.
“We wish all of the other lads the very best as they now look to take the next step elsewhere and it goes without saying that we will help them in any way we can.”
