Shakespeare and St George - Come honour The Bard and Fly the Flag

Hello Theatre-goers and supporters of Classic Theatre Cumbria ...

Classic Theatre Cumbria are pleased to present an evening of 'Shakespeare and St George - Come honour The Bard and Fly the Flag!' in Carlisle Cathedral Fratry on Saturday 23 April beginning at 7.30pm. 

For United fans who can't make the trip to Crawley - this could be an excellent way for you to round off your day. 

An evening of entertainment with songs, instrumental pieces, dance, poetry and a great dollop of Shakespeare. 

Tickets costing £15, including a two-course supper, are available from Carlisle Tourist Information Centre in the Old Town Hall on 01228 598 596 and through Paypal via www.classictheatrecumbria.co.uk

Owing to catering arrangements tickets need to be bought in advance.

•John Davies: Classic Theatre Cumbria Artistic Director and currently rehearsing the role of King Lear 
•Mike Head: Guest Director for King Lear and last year's Prospero in The Tempest 
•Debbie Marper: Actress and Director of Cumbria Dance 
•Avril Tisdall: Chairman of Carlisle and District Music and Drama Festival, accompanist and solo performer 
•Jon Rush: Actor, former high-ranking Manchester Police Officer and recent convert to classical theatre 
•Steve Layden: Actor, Singer and currently Mayor of Carlisle 
•Susan Jordan: celebrated and much revered Soprano with considerable operatic and oratorio experience 
•Gordon Swindlehurst and Caroline Robertson: BBC Radio Cumbria Presenters 
•Philip Gruar and Elizabeth Dodd: Musicians specialising in Renaissance music and players of period instruments 
•Kian Mallinson: GCSE student and young actor with Penrith Players 
•Students with Cumbria Dance, performing 'The Masque' from 'The Tempest'
