Whitehaven Miners U7s enjoy their day
The youngsters from Whitehaven Miners U7s were our guests for the Saturday Match Club last weekend and we think it’s fair to say they all had a very enjoyable time.
A morning of football and coaching sessions was followed by lunch, a stadium tour and a chance to meet some of the players ahead of watching the game later in the day.
CST manager John Halpin said: “The highlight was when the children got to meet Antony Sweeney and Jason Kennedy.
“The lads were brilliant and you could see the excitement on the faces as soon as they walked through the door.
“The Match Club watches the game from the Cumberland Building Society Community Stand and they got to meet OLGA and more of the players just before kick off. All in all it was a very enjoyable day and we hope they had a very good time.”
