Five trialists depart Brunton Park ahead of Workington game
Trial players Laste Dombaxe, Corey Francis, Gethyn Hill, Joel Logan and Danny Pappoe have left Brunton Park following a week long stay with the club.Fellow trialists Joe Thompson and Kevin Osei have been invited to stay on as United continue with their run of pre-season fixtures.
Head of recruitment Lee Dykes said: "The five lads who have moved on have done so with our best wishes.
"They all came in and worked hard and, as we saw the other night at Blyth, their attitude was fantastic.
"We had a chat with them and we felt it was right to allow them to move on and pursue other options. Joe [Thompson] and Kevin [Osei] will stay with us we go into the Thursday night game and the trip to Penrith on Saturday."
Meanwhile 20-year old former-Rotherham and Boston wide man Nicky Walker has joined the club this week and could feature in tonight's friendly fixture against Workington.
"I coached Nicky at Rotherham when he was 14 and he has progressed to become a decent young player," Dykes explained. "
He had a good loan spell with Boston at the back end of last season, and he's been linked with a number of clubs, so we're pleased that we're going to be able to take a look at him."
