Youth team attend Trained Brained session
The Carlisle United youth team were given the opportunity to take part in a Trained Brain session recently courtesy of League Football Education and specialist speaker Jamie Edwards.
The Trained Brain workshop is designed to help players learn how to combine mental strength and toughness, with their athletic skills, to assist in taking their game to the highest level possible.
Youth boss Alan Moore said: “We do a lot of work with the lads, away from the training pitch, to help them to develop social and life skills which they can use both in their profession and in their daily lives.
“We regularly explore the psychological and mental approaches to the game, and to different situations they might face going forward, and the Trained Brain session provided another very useful set of tools for the lads to take away.
“We’d like to thank the LFE and Jamie Edwards for helping us to set it up. The lads really enjoyed it and I think it has given them a lot of food for thought.”
