Water supplier provide free replacement bottled water
Club chairman Andrew Jenkins was able to bring some much-needed excellent news to the first team squad on Wednesday morning following a conversation he had with officials at Harrogate Water late on Tuesday night.
Harrogate Water, official water supplier of England Cricket, heard that a large stock of bottled water, set aside for first team and youth team training sessions, had been written off in the Brunton Park floods and immediately stepped in with a fantastic gesture.
Chairman Andrew Jenkins said: “Harrogate Water spoke to us on Tuesday evening. When we confirmed that our existing stock of bottled water had been caught up in the floods they told us that a replacement stock of 2,700 bottles had been ordered, free of charge.
“Gestures like this are typical of the kind of responses and offers we’ve been receiving at the club and we can’t stress how grateful we are to everyone - sponsors, partners and supporters alike - who have stepped forward to assist through this difficult time.
“I think it goes without saying that our hearts go out to those across the region who have been affected. The scenes on Warwick Road are devastating and we know from what we did there on Tuesday that even the smallest of gestures can become the most welcome. Hopefully everyone, including the football club, will be back and in a much better position sooner rather than later.”
