2 mins - Jake Cassidy pounced on a loose pass to turn inside but Raynes was there to block his 30 yard shot.
6 mins - Brough did the hard work in the centre circle when he robbed his man and sprinted clear. He was forced wide and the connection on the scuffed shot took it off towards the corner flag.
10 mins - Oldham did well on the left flank when Winchester found Cassidy. He bundled his way to the byline and the cut back ricocheted off Atkinson and fell nicely for Forte. His instinctive shot was never going to trouble the target.
12 mins - An Osei interception allowed Miller to pick a perfect pass for Asamoah. Trickery took him a yard away from Kerr and an outstretched leg tumbled the striker to the floor. Danny Grainger placed the ball for the spot kick but he was disappointed when his crisp connection flew into the Waterworks End.
14 mins - Vision from Balanta brought a reverse pass which left Kennedy with space. He surged forward and was a whisker away with a powerful right-footed drive.
16 mins - Liam Kelly found a path through midfield and he tried his luck from 40 yards. Gillespie watched it all the way and gathered down low.
24 mins - Balanta had a half chance when the ball spun away from Wilson but his volley rose high and sailed over the bar.
26 mins - Oldham spread the ball wide to Croft and his testing cross put it on a plate for Cassidy. The big striker had the width of the goal to aim at but he lost the flight of the delivery and somehow headed over from very close range.
29 mins - United grabbed the lead when a corner delivery from Grainger had Raynes interested. His header brought a half clearance and Angelo Balanta did the rest as he drilled a thundering volley through a ruck of legs and into the back of the net.
31 mins - Asamoah tried to work an angle as he slipped into the box but Kerr stood tall to make the block.
34 mins - Jones had another glimpse of goal from distance but Gillespie was well positioned to deal with it.
37 mins - United hesitated at the back and Kelly pounced to drive into the area. He went for the far corner but he curled a wayward effort wide.
38 mins - It was better from the visitors and Croft made space for himself as he stepped inside and went past his man. Gillespie was there again as it angled for the bottom corner.
40 mins - The half ended with chances for both sides and Kennedy almost notched a second for the hosts when he shot from 18 yards. A touch from a defender took it over the bar.
41 mins - Kennedy found himself in the striker's role when Carlisle built an attack on the right flank but he saw the header late and it flew off into the distance.
44 mins - Oldham should have equalised just before half time when Forte was left unmarked inside the area. He had time to pick his spot but the header went right at Gillespie.
52 mins - Jones rushed a volley as the ball fell at his right boot on the edge of the area and he couldn't keep it down.
53 mins - Loud appeals for a penalty were waved away as Balanta challenged for the ball with Winchester inside his own area.
56 mins - United attacked from back to front when Gillespie sent Brough on a run with a fantastic throw. The young wide man used pace to open a gap and his deflected cross brought a header from Asamoah which took Cornell right out of the game. There was just enough on the ball to take it over the line before Wyke applied the second touch.
63 mins - Balanta supported Asamoah and he was disappointed as he pulled a shot wide having been set up nicely by the nippy forward.
66 mins - Oldham came back into it when substitute Murphy made a run across the back line as a cross came in. He got a firm touch on the Poleon cross and thundered it over the line from close range.
74 mins - Brough sent another great cross into the box and it needed a touch before Rigg could finish it off.
80 mins - A dangerous, dipping free kick almost caught Gillespie by surprise as he saw it late. He reacted well to punch it away as it evaded all attempts at a touch.
84 mins - United rounded off a good afternoon with another very good goal when Meppen-Walter put it on a sixpence for Rigg. The striker shrugged off close attentions to power his header into the roof of the net.
