NCS coordinator receives invite to No 10
The Carlisle United NCS scheme gained more recognition this week when NCS Coordinator John Sander received an invitation to visit No 10 Downing Street from Member of Parliament for Carlisle, Mr John Stevenson.
John Sander said: “This came as a real surprise but it’s something I am now really looking forward to.
“John Stevenson has been a big supporter of our NCS scheme and he attended our graduation ceremony, to hand out awards and certificates, in June.
“The letter states that the invitation is in recognition of the work the NCS scheme does in the local community and the day will consist of a tour of Parliament, afternoon tea in the House and a visit to No 10.
“It’s fantastic for the club that our NCS programme has been so well received and we look forward to strengthening our links within the community further as we continue to move forward from here.”
