Fourth season of ability counts football
The Carlisle United Ability Counts League welcomes back its member clubs this Tuesday as they embark on a new football season.
Hosted at Penrith Leisure Centre, the monthly disability League houses ten adult teams at both male and female divisions, catering for adults with pan-disabilities aged 16 and over. Between the months of March to October, the League sees over 60 disabled adults come together and play in a fun, friendly yet competitive fixture programme.
Jess Lawson, Football Development Officer said: "The League is now approaching its fourth season and has grown significantly over the past couple of years. We look forward each year to welcoming new teams and players into the programme and enjoying what has been named the nation’s most played disability team sport!"
