Free match entry to all children who attend summer soccer schools
The Carlisle United Community Sports Trust will be giving their support to the #cufc6000 campaign this summer with a fantastic ticket giveaway for every youngster who attends one of their soccer schools.
Approximately 500 youngsters – boys and girls – will attend the schools, to be held at Carlisle, Keswick, Penrith, Whitehaven and Wigton in July and August, and each child will receive a letter, as part of their attendance package, which will grant them free entry to the first home league match of the season and half price entry to the same game for an accompanying adult.
Community Sports Trust manager John Halpin said: “We had a chat with the ticket office staff about #cufc6000, and how we could support it, because it’s great to see the club and the fans working together in this way.
“I know the children who come to the schools will really appreciate this and I’m sure it will get a good response come the first home league game in August.
“We have six schools running across five different venues and the bookings are already coming in thick and fast. It can only add to the excitement when the children find out that they will also qualify for this promotion.”
Ticket office manager Tarn Simmons said: “We wanted to find a simple and effective way to further support the #cufc6000 campaign for the first home league game of the new season and we think this is a fantastic way for us to do that.
“The soccer schools are always very well attended and this gives us an opportunity to give a lot of children, who possibly wouldn’t otherwise come to our games, a chance to come along and watch us for free.
“The letter will allow them to get free entry for any area of the ground, with an adult paying half price, and we think it should prove to be quite popular.”
