Sheffield trip slips 24 hours
Carlisle United Football Club can confirm that our away fixture at Brammall Lane, scheduled for Tuesday 11 March, has been moved back by 24 hours and will now be played on Wednesday 12 March, kick off 7.45pm.
The Blades received notification yesterday that their FA Cup sixth round meeting with Charlton Athletic had been selected as a BT Sport live game, with a noon kick off on Sunday 9 March, and subsequently submitted a request for the Tuesday evening fixture to be moved.
“This is standard practice if a game is selected for TV,” media officer Andy Hall explained. “The affected club has the option to request a move and everything falls into place quite quickly thereafter. The notification has come relatively early so, hopefully, everyone will be able to plan accordingly.”
