Experienced forward joins the Blues
Spanish-born striker Nacho Novo has joined United on a short-term contract today which keeps him at Brunton Park until the end of the current campaign.
Novo, 34, played for Racing Ferrol, Somozas and Huesca in his native Spain before taking the step into Scottish football with Raith Rovers in 2001. 18 goals in 33 appearances caught the eye of Dundee and he moved to Dens Park for £100,000 ahead of the 2002/03 campaign.
He bagged an impressive 26 goals in 71 games for the Dees and another six figure fee, reported to be in the region of £500,000, took the mobile front man to Glasgow giants Rangers for a six year stay which reaped 47 goals from 179 appearances.
Spells with Legia Warsaw and Huesca followed until he returned north of the border on a short term deal in October last year with Scottish Championship outfit Greenock Morton.
