Result from the Friday youth game
The United youth team rounded off the first half of their season with a decent performance despite a 2-3 reverse at Tranmere this afternoon.
Rovers played well and took a two-goal lead into the break and they managed to see it through despite second half strikes from Jason Blackburn and Mikey Quigley.
"Yet again we created a lot of chances," academy manager Alan Moore said. "We had a number of one on one situations and we played some good football.
"Tranmere are a good side, who play at a decent tempo, so we come away feeling really pleased with what we did."
