Brad Potts on getting results
Midfielder Brad Potts spoke to us earlier this week about being involved with the first team and his hopes for the rest of the season.
“I’m just really enjoying my football at the moment,” he said. “I think I’m starting to get used to the job the manager is asking me to do and I’m doing my best to help the team as much as I can.
“I feel more confident with every game I play and trust is being placed in me every time I’m picked. I’m determined to repay that.”
“The victory over Swindon has got us going again but we know we need to push on from here,” he added. “There’s a real feeling in the dressing room that we’ll do it, but we have to turn words into actions. We’ve got a good mix of experience and younger players involved now so we’re confident that we have enough.
“We’re all working hard to get the points we need to stay up because we think everyone at the club deserves it. The win last weekend was just what we all needed because I don’t think we’ve been getting the results we deserve recently.”
“It was a great feeling to be involved in the goal because it felt like it’s been a while in coming,” he said. “It doesn’t matter who scores them, or who does what, at the moment. All we want is three points from every game in whatever way we can get them.”
“Our next chance to show everyone that we’re up for it is on Saturday at Preston,” he told us. “It’s a big one for the players and the fans and we want to do it properly.
“It’s a great place to go so, like I say we’ll be looking to enjoy it and get the result we all want.”
