Result from the Saturday game
Ten minutes of madness in the first half cost United dearly as they shipped three-goals to hand Walsall a comfortable cushion going into the break.
A much-improved second half display was too little too late for the young Cumbrians and it was the Saddlers who claimed the points.
"We started off well but they got a goal after 25 minutes and it put us on the back foot," youth coach Chris Blake said. "They scored two more very quickly after that and it was then about making sure we got some kind of response.
"We were much better in the second half so there are positives for us to take away."
Full reaction to follow.
